The CF Music Studio is at Chapter Arts Centre in the heart of Cardiff.
We offer audio recording, mixing and mastering as well as full video production in our state-of-the-art recording studio and live or multimedia room.
Music recording
No project is too big or too small at CF Music Studio, we can accommodate recording sessions for:
- solo performers,
- singer songwriters,
- bands, and
- larger groups such as choirs, brass or string ensembles.
The natural acoustics of our live room enhance the sound of voices and instruments giving the music space to breathe as you record and capture the magic. In addition to our live room, we have a dedicated isolation booth or ‘dead room’ which is ideal for recording vocal and instrument overdubs as well as voiceover recordings and interviews.

Digital Music Education packages
In conjunction with our recording and multimedia studio we offer a number of Digital Music Education packages tailored for schools, pupils and staff.
If the thought of giving any kind of digital music or IT lesson gives you or your staff sleepless nights fear not, we offer dedicated digital music and IT training for teachers. This is centred around using an iPad with basic music production software and apps such as GarageBand alongside the video editing software iMovie.
We offer a dedicated whole class iPad GarageBand course for primary and secondary school pupils. This can be a short 5 week beginner courses or longer more in depth 10 week per term courses. This has been popular with both staff and pupils.
We understand the pressure and time constraints that most music teachers are under when it comes to recording and filming BTEC, GCSE and A level composition and performance coursework. We also understand that not all schools have the equipment, space or technical knowhow to achieve this. Don’t panic, we got you covered. As well as having our state-of-the-art studio in Chapter Arts Centre (which can be booked for this purpose) we can also come to your school. We have a number of music tech teachers to support you and your pupils and lighten your workload.
